Good News and Bad News

The bad news is, we have had to fire interns left and right around here. A few days ago one of them messed up the formatting of the site, and there were the problems with the shopping cart . . . unacceptable. Now we’ll have to recruit a whole new team of interns, and it’s hard to find highly-qualified, motivated people who will work for free in today’s world. Ah well.

In all the struggle to get everything working properly, something had to give, so there is no new comic today.

HOWEVER! The good news is, we–Sam, Abi, and Leighton–will be at SPACE, the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo, in Columbus this weekend. There’s more info here. We’ll be there both Saturday and Sunday, so come by and say hi and, you know, buy our books, if you feel so called.

We are in the latest round of SPACE exhibitor bios. Go and read those at your leisure.

Also! Since the formatting of the site got messed up, Sam used the opportunity to snazz things up around here. If the site looks a little different, that’s why.

And we’ll be back on Friday, with a brand new page of Electric Team action.

Big Day for Comics

It’s a big new comics day! There’s a new page of The Electric Team, on this very site, where we see what Dr. February, Larzipan, and Mr. Barnacle are doing, and learn how the magic gets bottled.

ALSO, a new chapter of Laser Brigade, the science fiction adventure comic I write and draw, starts today over at the Laser Brigade site.

And, of course, you can still order The Electric Team #4. Unfortunately, some people have reported having trouble with our shopping cart. It may depend on what browser you’re using. There’s nothing I want more than for you to be able to smoothly and efficiently give me money, so I am working on resolving this problem. HOWEVER, here’s something we’ve learned–if you add a product to your cart, then go to check out, and the product disappears from your cart, just refresh the page. The product should reappear. If that doesn’t work, please contact me.

Order now, and we will include at no additional cost an original drawing by Electric Team co-creators Leighton and/or Abigail Connor. Abi has grown accustomed to selling her drawings at conventions, but she’s willing to make an exception and forego payment just for you. As long as you order soon!

I’m proud of the story in this one, and Sam did great work on the art. It’s our best issue yet. It makes me happy; I hope it will make you happy, too. Here’s a description of it.
