The Trees and the Squirrel
OH MAN, with the third page of the Plant Man story, AKA Page 131, Sam Albert really cuts loose. Now you can see why she decided to color this one with watercolor. The trees, the ground, the squirrel, it’s all so lush. It’s a lovely page.
This page also marks the debut of Verka the squirrel, created by Nat Kutcher. I had promised to write a blog post about how Nat ended up writing this story, and I still plan on doing that . . . my ongoing computer problems really threw me off, but I’ve almost recovered. So soon, the secret origin of Nat will be revealed. Stay tuned!
