Electric Team

I wrote in the script for page 35 that Plant Man was doing something weird that made Brianna laugh. When I wrote the script for the first 26 pages, I didn’t even know who the artist would be, so I made everything as specific as possible. Now that I’ve been working with Sam for over a year, though, I know I can count on her, so if I say “have him do something weird,” I get back something awesome like the last panel of page 35.

Speaking of collaboration, Abby had a lot of input into the plot of Chapter 2. The quicksand on page 36 was all her idea–she’s a firm believer in the dramatic value of quicksand–as is the terrifying encounter the team’s about to have. These things they’re about to run into, man, I can’t wait to see how Sam draws them.
